About KYS
The Karma Yoga Scholars (KYS) Program is for returning campers who wish to serve
the camp while being given more responsibilities and training in leadership skills.
Only a select number of campers will be chosen to serve in the KYS program. It is
an honors program for which applicants must secure one reference who will attest
to personal attributes of responsibility, leadership and dedication. Many of our
Counselors are chosen from past KYS campers.
KYS campers are responsible for various duties such as hiking meal preparation,
meal cleanups, planning and assisting at various camp ceremonies, coordination of
camp cleaning and other assignments. Special KYS camper training includes the keeping
of a spiritual journal, more exposure to meditation and yoga philosophy, special
classes, a day of silence, and the opportunity for deep personal growth.

Applying for KYS
KYS campers range in age from 13-15. No more than 5 girls and 5 boys will be accepted
as KYS. The Karma Yoga Scholars Fee will be the same as the regular camp fee.
